Center Welcome

The Center provides an environment where Iowa State students can learn, build community, and gain skills for the real-world and their holistic wellbeing. The first Center, known as the Office of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender Student Services (LGBTSS) opened in 2010 in the Student Services Building before transitioning to the third floor of the Memorial Union in 2018. Prior to its move to the MU, it was renamed as The Center for LGBTQIA+ Student Success. During the Memorial Union’s expansion of floors four, five and six, The Center as we know today in 4600 MU was opened in May 2022. Since 2010, the goal of The Center is to be a welcoming space on students for students to explore who they are and be better equipped to succeed at Iowa State and beyond.
